After successfully completing EFT Level 1 and Level 2 training courses, students who decide to pursue an Accredited Practitioner Certification with EFT International go through an intensive mentoring and assessment process, called Mentoring for Certification (MFC).

Mentoring for Certification includes a minimum of 6 hours of mentoring with an EFT International Trainer over 6 to 9 months while you practice your EFT skills with practice clients and write up case studies to get certified.

The certification process is expected to be completed within 6-9 months after the EFT Level 1 & 2 Training and no more than 12 months.

Mentoring requires time, effort and expertise from your Mentor/Trainer to assess and evaluate your session logs, case studies, knowledge and skills and to provide guidance and support before certifying you as an Accredited Practitioner.

Personal EFT sessions with a certified EFT Practitioner: as part of your Certification process, I require that you have a minimum of 3 personal EFT sessions with a certified EFT practitioner, to have direct experience of EFT as a client.

To receive EFT International (EFTi) Accredited Certified EFT Practitioner status, students must successfully complete the following minimum competency requirements:

(1) Attend an EFT Training: Attend Levels 1 and 2 training by an EFTi Trainer and receive your Certificate of Attendance.

(2) Begin the Mentoring Process: Start the Mentoring for Certification (MFC) process to receive a minimum of 6 hours of mentoring required for certification, over the course of 6 to 9 months. I offer 10 hours of 1:1 mentoring plus group mentoring.

(3) Join EFT International: Join EFT International as a “Student member”, then access the online Practitioner exam via the EFT International website. Review your exam with your EFTi Trainer.

(4) Document Practice Sessions: After passing the exam, document a minimum of 50 EFT practice sessions working with at least 20 different practice-clients, using EFT exclusively. Each EFT session must be a minimum of 45 minutes in length.

(5) Submit Case Studies and an EFT Demonstration: Submit to your EFTi Trainer a minimum of 4 case studies: 3 Client Case Studies (on separate individuals) and 1 Personal Case Study (on a personal issue). You will also provide an in-person OR video demonstration of an EFT session, and discuss this session with your Trainer. Case studies must demonstrate the competent, professional, and individualised application of foundational EFT skills acquired during EFT Levels 1 and 2 training and post-training practice and experience. You will receive case study guidelines and guidance from your Trainer.

All case studies must be submitted within 12 months of attending the Level 2 Training, otherwise your Trainer may request that you attend a refresher course.

(6) Complete Additional Requirements: Complete any additional discretionary requirements as outlined by your EFTi Trainer during the certification process. Your Trainer may require additional client sessions/practice hours, 1-to-1 mentoring meetings or case studies as needed to complete their assessment.

(7) Welcome to EFT International as a Certified Practitioner! Once you have completed all of the requirements and your Trainer is assured of competency on your part, your Trainer will contact EFTi, and you can upgrade your EFT Membership from Student Member to “Accredited Certified EFT Practitioner.” Congratulations!
