Facilitated by George Brooks and Falguni Mather, psychotherapists and EFT Trainers with EFT International.

We notice that integrating Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) into psychotherapeutic practice can often create challenges for psychotherapists and counsellors who have an existing practice (read our article on this topic here).

This group provides a reflective space to explore these challenges. These mentoring sessions aim to draw out some of these issues so that you can gain clarity and confidence in integrating EFT into your practice.

We discuss EFT integration issues as a group, discuss cases, self-application of EFT, tap together as a group and there’s also time for QandA (see more of what you can expect below).

Open to all psychotherapists and counsellors who have completed an EFT Training – students and Practitioners.

2 hours, online on Zoom.

This is a general outline of a structured approach which aims to provide practical insights and solutions for integrating EFT into your psychotherapeutic practice. Mentoring sessions may include any or all of the following:

  • Group Tapping to help relax and focus.
  • An introduction to different Integrative Psychotherapeutic Models so you can begin to explore how you might integrate EFT into your existing practice.
  • Highlighting and discussing possible issues in EFT Integration:
    • How do I introduce EFT to clients?
    • How do I manage client uncertainty?
    • When is the right time to introduce EFT?
    • What do I need to think about when deciding when to use EFT and when to return to traditional counselling & psychotherapy?
    • What do I do if a client is unsure about EFT?
    • Does using EFT mean I am not doing counselling & psychotherapy?
    • Educating clients in EFT.
    • Teaching clients EFT for self-regulation between sessions.
    • What if I have an existing supervisor who doesn’t use EFT?
    • Therapists working in a mental health clinic vs a solo practice.
  • Case Discussion/Group Supervision: You will be invited to bring current or past cases where you were unsure whether to integrate EFT, or how. Cases will then be discussed in case discussion groups to help participants make more informed and clear decisions.
  • Self-Application of EFT: We will explore how you can use EFT to help yourself overcome some of your fears and anxieties about introducing EFT to clients and managing client expectations.
  • Q&A: plenty of opportunity for Q&A with the facilitators.
  • This mentoring session can fulfil CPD/ mentoring requirements for EFTi and BACP or UKCP, as well as other governing bodies.
  • Participants will be issued with an EFTi certificate of attendance.
  • You have attended a Level 1 & 2 EFT training run by an accredited EFTi Trainer (you are not required to be certified in EFT).
  • You are a practising counsellor/psychotherapist or psychologist.
